After months of leaks and rumors, Epic Games has confirmed that a Drexel University collaboration is releasing in Chapter 67. Epic released several teasers and trailers to hype up the community for the next season. The promotional videos have confirmed a couple of skins, most notably Antonio Merlo, who will be available in the Battle Pass. 

The move comes as part of Drexel’s broader strategic initiative to “increase presidential visibility, brand engagement, and the likelihood that freshmen know who the president is before graduation.”

Additionally, this update will feature a new map area, with “Lethal Labs” being replaced with “The Drexel Main Building”. Epic’s lead developer, Cody Gayman added, “if you land at this new map area, the Merlo skin automatically begins discussing interdisciplinary innovation while harvesting brick from the nearby abandoned Wawa.” 

However, as part of this collaboration, Epic Games has increased the price of the battle pass. Previous passes cost about 1,000 V-Bucks, but the next one will cost 60,000 to reflect Drexel’s tuition. This also means that the maximum amount of V-Bucks available in the pass is actually dependent on your major, allowing players in STEM fields to earn back what they spent on the pass, but almost nothing for arts and humanities majors
